The Benefits of a Reliable Spares & Repairs Service
Choosing Castlet as your spares & repairs partner often means working with the team who designed and built your equipment, not a third party working with incomplete information.

Case Study: Extending the Life of Critical Energy Infrastructure at a UK Waste-to-Energy Facility
The Challenge
During a proactive site visit, our engineers identified that some equipment had been operating in challenging conditions, with transformer rectifiers being heavily corroded. The degradation of these tanks posed a growing risk for the client, who needed to extend the life of the equipment by at least 5 years while avoiding unplanned downtime.
Our Solution
Castlet delivered a bespoke refurbishment strategy, with a rolling repairs programme, removing two rectifiers at a time to be refurbished off-site. This allowed us to fit them with new steel tanks, without causing any downtime on-site and while providing a cost-effective solution.
The Outcome
The 10 refurbished transformer rectifiers were delivered safely back on site, with downtime avoided throughout the process. This ensured the waste-to-energy plant had equipment for a longer lifecycle, thanks to the spares and repairs services provided by our engineering teams.
